Commercial Lender (Full-time in the La Crosse area)


Position Summary:

The Lender is responsible for providing a full range of banking services and managing customer relationships. An emphasis is placed on client contact, sales and service. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop new client relationships, on a proactive basis, from phone contacts, walk-in traffic and client referrals.

2. Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.

3. Collect and analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine the feasibility of granting loans.

4. Establish and negotiate when necessary the terms under which credit will be extended,including the costs, repayment method and schedule, and collateral requirements.

5. Complete client loan write-ups to support lending recommendation and approve loans to the extent of personal lending authority and/or recommend loans for approval based on River Bank’s Loan Policy and Procedures.

6. Monitor the quality of loan portfolios on a continuous basis through loan repayments,deposit activity and financials, and take necessary action to collect from past due accounts.

7. Ensure all changes and proper documentation are in the assigned files and that follow-up ticklers and reports are completed to minimize exposure and loss to River Bank.

8. Review and update credit and loan files. Ensure compliance to law and River Bank’s Loan Policies in regards to loan collateral evaluation, credit quality (risk rating), compliance to your lending limits and supporting documentation.

9. Provide adequate information for future loan losses for loan portfolio and ensure all actions are taken to protect River Bank’s assets and minimize losses.

10. Sell additional products/services by clarifying customer needs, validating services being delivered, presenting features and benefits, and closing by asking for their business; Make referrals as appropriate;

11. Be aware of and support the Bank’s efforts in meeting the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).

12. All other duties as assigned.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

2. Knowledge of financial statement analysis and generally accepted accounting principles.

3. Knowledge of loan policy, business lending guidelines and loan structure and loan documentation.

Position Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.

2. A minimum of 3-4 years of professional commercial banking experience.



Real Estate Lender (Full-time in Sparta)

 

Position Summary:

The Real Estate Lender is responsible for residential, construction, rural development, FHLB and in house loans in compliance with River Bank’s lending policies and procedures. This position assists River Bank in attaining established bank, region and branch goals through active participation in sales management and officer call programs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Market bank products to individuals and firms, promoting bank services that may meet customers’ needs. Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better meet customers’ needs.

2. Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks in order to locate prospects for loans.

3. Increase mortgage loan portfolio by developing business contacts, attracting mortgage customers and completing mortgage processing and closing.

4. Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants’ credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.

5. Analyze applicant’s financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility and approve loans within specified limits. Refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval.

6. Meet with applicants and customers as needed to obtain information for applications, effectively communicate loan types and credit options available, and answer any questions about the process.

7. Solicit, negotiate, underwrite, and coordinate closings for all applicable loans.

8. Review and update credit and loan files.

9. Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy.

10. Compute payment schedules and negotiate payment arrangements with customers who have delinquent loans.

11. Prepare reports as needed to send to customers whose accounts are delinquent, and forward irreconcilable accounts for collector action.

12. Confer with underwriters to aid in resolving mortgage application problems, and set credit policies, credit lines, procedures and standards in conjunction with senior managers.

13. Arrange for maintenance and liquidation of delinquent properties, and petition courts to transfer titles and deeds of collateral to banks.

14. Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

Bank Teller (Full-time in Coon Valley, WI)

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing the service provided to bank customers and teller operations at the assigned branch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Complete checking and savings deposits by verifying cash and endorsements, receiving proper identification for cash back,and issuing receipts of deposit.

2) Examine checks deposited to determine if proper funds are available based on regulation requirements.

3) Process savings and checking withdrawals.

4) Cash checks by verifying endorsements, receiving proper identification, and ensuring their validity.

5) Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates,service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and customer privacy policies.

6) Complete loan payments.

7) Issue personal money orders and cashier’s checks.

8) Fulfill check orders as needed.

9) Count and roll loose coins.

10) Ensure maintenance of equipment, and clean on a regular basis.

11) Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring drawer cash limits are not exceeded.

12) Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks.

13) Balance vault and mini vault daily.

14) Responsible for opening and closing procedures.

15) Ensure supply of money for branch meets business demand and legal requirements.

16) Examine tellers’ daily transaction reports for accuracy and complete any necessary reports.

17) Sweep, vacuum, and dust as needed to maintain appearance of lobby and teller line.

18) Additional duties as assigned.

Operations Associate (Full-time in Stoddard, WI)

Position Summary:

The Bank Operations Associate is responsible for providing customer service support to all internal and external customers of the River Bank Operations Department.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for Director reject keying and balancing.

2. Post ACH, ATM, Bankers Bank Tickets, I/B Transfer Files, I/B ACH2 Files, FX Files, Voice Response, Inclearings.

3. Complete tax payments.

4. Conduct account research(Fiche, Film, Optical, Director)

5. Process overdrafts and chargeback/return cash letters.

6. Process mail, print and stuff notices and statements.

7. Responsible for Loan Files& Bankers Bank scanning.

8. Process dormant accounts,process and post cash letter and correct rejects (change items).

9. Responsible for Friday night balances and notices, record retention and removal, problem logs, backup servers, FR2900 preparation, and 314(a) review (bi-weekly).

10.Responsible for entering outgoing wires and posting incoming wires.

11.Responsible for assisting and maintaining with Internet Banking functions.

12.Assist internal and external customers in addressing any questions, comments and/or concerns via telephone support.

13.Other duties as assigned.
